The venue fee includes exclusive use of designated spaces, event access hours for setup and breakdown, an on-site venue manager, parking coordination, ad grounds preparation. Complimentary grounds access for engagement photoshoot.

Sotterley operates as a venue-only property, allowing clients the freedom to curate vendors that best fir their vision while maintaining preservation standards. This flexibility is one of the advantages of hosting an event at a historic estate. 

We offer flexibility for off-peak dates, weekdays, and mission-aligned nonprofit events. Peak Saturdays are not discounted.

Sotterley offers a variety of indoor and covered spaces that may be used as a rain plan depending on availability and the spaces reserved. Final rain-plan decisions are typically made in coordination with the client, planner, and venue staff as the event date approaches.

For the safety of guests and the preservation of the historic property, fireworks and sparklers are not permitted due to fire risk, proximity to historic structures, and waterfront environmental concerns.

Pets may be permitted in limited circumstances, such as ceremony participation, but must be approved in advance. All pets must be leashed, supervised at all times, and removed from the property immediately following their role in the event. 

Sotterley provides designated on-site parking areas for guests and vendors. Parking locations and capacities vary depending on the event size and selected spaces. For larger events, parking attendants, signage, or shuttle services may be required to ensure smooth guest flow and protect grounds.

There are several hotels and accommodations within a short driving distance of the property. Options range from nationally recognized hotels to charming inns and Airbnbs. A recommended hotel list will be provided upon request.
