DESCRIPTION:Join us for a visit from St. Mary’s County Public Library\, who will be reading a selection of kid-friendly seasonal stories! Bring a picnic blanket and a snack to make this fall story time cozy. Kids are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and will get a goodie bag in exchange. \n  \nThis is a free event\, sponsored by our partners at the library. Other activities on site\, detailed here\, can be experienced for our normal $5 per person grounds fee.

Pumpkin painting\, games and activities are offered each weekend and are included in the normal grounds fee of $5 (or the normal guided tour fee)\, and children under 6 are free\, as are Members! DESCRIPTION:October 21\, 22\, 28 & 29\nTour times start at 7:00pm\n\nSotterley is hosting a new event based on some of our favorite haunted and ghostly happenings from the past. Come and join us for Nightmare on Sotterley Lane! You will go on a walking tour of some of our favorite creepy spaces and places and be prepared to encounter both the earthly inhabitants and those not of this earth. Your self-guided tour will include walking on some uneven outdoor terrain\, so wear appropriate footwear and weather gear since the event is rain or shine.\n\nGuests will sign up for a 20-MINUTE window of time\, and you can show up anytime during that 20-minute window to start your tour.  Tickets are $15/person\, and MUST be purchased in advance online.\n\n*Produced by the FRIENDS OF SOTTERLEY and made possible by their generous donations of time and talent. * \nVisit the Sotterley Museum Shop to purchase goodies for everyone on your holiday gift list! \n\nPurchase Tickets Here!\n  \nThis is a walking tour which includes going outside and through woods. Tours are held RAIN or SHINE! The tour route will include some hilly\, rough and uneven terrain. Guests are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and to wear footwear suitable for the conditions. \nThis is a self-guided walking tour production and will include spooky moments and special effects\, maybe strobe lights. Some content may not be suitable for young children. Parents\, please use your own discretion and be considerate of the others in your group when making the decision on whether to bring your child. This event is recommended for ages 8 and up. No strollers\, walkers\, or wheelchairs. \nProceeds from programming\, membership and events support the education and preservation efforts of Historic Sotterley.
