DESCRIPTION:William G. Thomas III\nProfessor at the University of Nebraska\nA Question of Freedom: The Families Who Challenged Slavery from the Nation’s Founding to the Civil War\nWednesday\, March 3rd\, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.\n____________________________________________________________________________\nClick here to Register!\nPurchase his book here!\nThomas explores the enslaved families of Prince George’s County Maryland who filed lawsuits against their slaveowners\, from Jesuit priests who founded Georgetown University\, to other large plantation owners from 1887 to 1861.
